VACANCIES FOR CONSTABLES IN BOTSWANA

Vacancy no.1 of 2016: Eight (8) posts for special constables

Applications are invited frm qualified Botswana Citizen Males(in bold) for the post of special constable in the Botswana police service tenable in Mogoditshane Police Station.

Entry requirements
1.must b a citizen of Botswana holding a valid Omang card
2.Be mentally and physically fit
3.Aged 18-24(in bold)years
4.Having no criminal record
5.Qualification- bgcse or equivalent
6.minimum of 30(in bold) points with atleast c(in bold) in english
7.Recruitment process shall consist of written test,oral interview,shuttle run, medical examination and criminal record check.

The apllicants will be expected to perform the following duties as stipulated under section 6 of the police Act Cap 21:01
>Protect life and property
>Prevent and detect crime
>Repress internal disturbances
>Maintain security and public tranquility
>Apprehend offenders
>Bring offenders to justice
>Duly enforce all written laws with which they are directly charged
>Generally maintain peace
