PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To manage the site office and perform vibration data
collection and analysis and thermography inspections on machinery, and to
ensure that all results and findings are communicated appropriately.
These services will be provided on main ventilation fans,
grinding mills, scrubbers, winders, conveyor belts, pumps, compressors,
refrigeration units, vibrating screens, vibrating feeders, crushers, float
cells, blowers, continuous miners, as well as other equipment as required.
Key Accountabilities:
- Establish
vibration monitoring programmes which include the determination of
machines for periodic/continuous monitoring, frequency of testing and
route plans.
- Establish
programmes for the specification of vibration requirements and acceptance
criteria for new machinery;
- Interpret
and apply standards and specifications; where no appropriate standards
exist, help to develop new ones
- Managing
of site office and providing of guidance and supervision to
inspectors and trainee Inspectors
Required abilities:
- N5
engineering certificate or equivalent qualification
- National
or international level 2 qualification in:
- Vibration
- Thermography
- Alignment & Balancing
- Oil analysis
- Proven
experience in the field of condition monitoring
- Mining
environment experience will be an advantage
