The role:

• Translate business strategy into operational SD strategy
• Ensure SD governance structures and communication protocols are in place and maintained
• Make recommendations regarding social investments with specific reference to socio economic development of host communities  
• Engage with all stakeholders to establish and maintain effective and sound relationships to the benefit of the business and communities
• Reporting to key stakeholders about key issues in alignment with corporate guidelines
• To implement the social and labour plan as required by legislation
• Adhere to all safety and health standards and requirements while continuously contributing to safe and good housekeeping

You will need:

Interpersonal – Teamwork, Building and Maintaining  relationships; Change orientation; Self Confidence; Analytical –  Judgment, Information Gathering, Problem Analysis and Technical expertise  and Competence; Business Awareness – Strategic Perspective, Organizational awareness, Cross Functional Awareness, Career & Self Development; Dynamism  Skills: Oral Communication Skills; Leadership Skills

Requirements:

·         Applicants should be in possession of a relevant 4 year (or Hon) Degree (Social Sciences)

·         At least 8 years relevant experience of which at least 5 years in management position

• Candidates should have an excellent knowledge of relevant legislation
• Valid Driver’s License

Remuneration:

·         The initial salary will be determined in accordance with Kumba Iron Ore regulations

·         This is an Anglo Band 5 role
