TEACHING
ASSISTANTS (17 Positions
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to
assist Communication Academic Literacy Lecturers to (i) handle tutorials
for the Communication and Academic Literacy courses for Undergraduate students
in any of the following Faculties: Humanities, Business, Science,
Education, Engineering & Technology, Health Sciences and Social Sciences; (ii)
mark tutorials and perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
by the Head of Department and/ or immediate supervisor.
Requirements: Candidates should: (i) have a
Bachelors' Degree in Arts (Communication, Linguistics or related
subjects) with atleast a second class, first division (2.1 pass/
GPA of at least 3.6); (ii) show evidence of participation in research
or related activities. Demonstration of innovativeness and creativity will
be an added advantage.
Remuneration: as per the University of Botswana
approved part-time rates.
