ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT
VACANCY
No: IRC 313
Duties: Promoting , planning,
directing and coordinating quality assurance efforts in the academic and
support units of University, facilitating the overall development of the
academic and support staff of the University and its affiliated and associate
institutions.
Requirements: Applicants should have (i) a
Masters’ Degree in an academic discipline and must have attained the rank of
Associate Professor or above; (ii) ten (10) years experience as a Faculty
member, three of which should have been at a senior level, with an extensive
record of teaching, research, publications and academic management; (iii)
experience in the establishment of academic development programmes at
university level or comparable institution; (iv) sound knowledge of university
management systems, techniques and strategies of quality assurance in tertiary
education. In addition, the candidate should have excellent
management, human relations and communication skills; (v) excellent abilities
in project analysis, management design and report-writing; (vi) sound knowledge
of computer skills and the use of modern information technology.
