Description
Futures Group is an international organization that provides
management, marketing, research, and strategic planning for large
multi-national companies, governments and universities. We are looking to hire
an informatics associate for our Haiti program. He/She will report to the
Senior Strategic Information Advisor.
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- BSc
Computer science
- 3
years of HMIS and M&E experience,
- Experience
with Linux operating systems
- Systems
administration and DBA skills: MySQL, MS SQL server, MS Access, Excel,
Antivirus
- Experience
working with electronic medical records (EMR/ i.Santé) and large datasets
- Networking
experience including WAN
- Demonstrated
ability to transfer knowledge through formal and informal training.
- Demonstrated
ability to work in a team as well as independently
- Excellent
written and oral communication skills.
- Experience
in implementing US Government-funded projects.
- Fluent
in French and English
- This
position will be based in Port au Prince with frequent travel to remote
areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build
capacity of local partners to manage their electronic data
- IT
troubleshooting at LPTFs that have technical difficulties
- Assist
the strategic information team to manage i-Sante deployments and upgrades
at LPTFs
- Assist
the strategic information team to manage IQTools rollout and upgrades at
LPTFs
- Ensure
regular backup and encryption of de-identified databases at centralized
level
- Continued
development of IQTools .net via
- Programming
of SQL queries for all new indicators
- Requirements
gathering
- Documentation
of indicators
- Other
responsibilities as needed
