Botswana Harvard Aids Institute Partnership Vacancies

Botswana Harvard Aids Institute Partnership is a collaborative research and training initiative between Government of Botswana and the Harvard School of Public Health. BHP is dedicated to fight HIV/AIDS and related health challenges through collaborative research, education and capacity building.

We seek hands on, result driven individuals, with good interpersonal skills to fill the following positions within the partnership;

1.HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
2.FILING AND ARCHIVING CLERKS (5 POSTS)
3.RECRUITMENT/RETENTION NURSE

1.HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

Reporting directly to the Human Resources and Operations Manager

Roles and responsibilities:

•Coordinate the recruitment process with appropriate management staff
•Facilitate logistics related to the relocation of new- in country and expatriates (work permits/ exemptions, visas, ids, travel, housing and schooling)
•Coordinate induction programme for new staff
•Handles Industrial Relations issues, training and development of employees and implementing the performance management tool
•Leave administration
•Payroll administration and back up

Qualification & Experience

•Degree in Human Resource / Social Sciences / Business Administration with a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience


2.FILING AND ARCHIVING CLERKS (5 POSTS)

Roles and Responsibilities:

•Collection of documents from different sites which requires moving heavy and dusty boxes
•Retrieval of documents upon request
•Labeling of storage boxes
•Filing
•Shredding
•Ensuring office furniture and equipment is cleaned and dusted daily
•Ensure that windows and doors are clean at all times
•Make tea for guests and staff as required
•Assist in the switchboard to answer phones and direct calls when the receptionist is out

Qualification and Experience:

•The right candidate should posses O level/BGCSE certificate with at least 2 years relevant experience. Computer literacy is also required.



3.RECRUITMENT/RETENTION NURSE

Roles and Responsibilities:

•The incumbent will work closely with Study Coordinator, Head Research Nurse and the entire study team for effective study recruitment and retention of participants.
•The candidate will be required to have a good understanding of all study specific procedures and standard operating procedures (SOP’s) which pertain to his/her day to day activities.

The study team will provide initial and ongoing training to candidate with regards to the study of protocols / consent forms related health topics

In addition to good nursing skills, the successful candidate should have keen interest in research and will be required to perform tasks necessary for the implementation and monitoring of the study.

Among other responsibilities he/she will be required to;

•Implement the recruitment plans of volunteers (potential study participants) in consultation with the study team according to good clinical practice.
•Track potential study participants contacted during community/clinical visits participants already enrolled on the study to meet retention targets
•Work with the clinical team on site to ensure that recruitment and retention targets are met

Qualifications and Experience:

•Degree/ Diploma in Nursing with 2 years experience
•Must be knowledgeable on HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention
•Basic kitso training will be an added advantage
